Sin City Shootout

 

Eligibility and Age: Swimmers must be USMS members registered for 2017 OR must pay a One-Event Membership fee of $15 (One-Event Membership option will be available in mid-October). Swimmers must be age 18 as of January 14, 2017. Age will be calculated for all swimmers on January 14, 2017.

 

Sanction: This meet is sanctioned by Southern Pacific Masters Swimming for USMS, Inc. Sanction # 336.

 

Seeding: Swimmers will be seeded in heats according to entry time, regardless of age and/or gender. Heats will be ordered slowest to fastest. Please use SwimPhone Online Check-In for all events, marking yourself “checked in” or “scratched” so that we may run a very efficient meet. Positive check-In for the 500 Free closes at 10:00am.

 

Entries: Online meet entry closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. For mailed entries, the postmark deadline is January 6, 2017.

 

Deck Entries: Deck entries close at 10am for events 1-6 and at 11:30am for events 7-18. Deck entries will be processed “paperless and cashless” on a computer at the pool. Please bring your credit card for payment of deck entries.

 

Entry Fees: $50.00 per swimmer, flat fee. For swimmers in relays only, the fee is $10.00.  Meet entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Credit card payments will reflect a charge from "ClubAssistant.com Events."

 

Relays: All relays will be deck entered. Relay Team entries are free. For each relay swimmer who is not entered in individual events, a fee of $10.00 and a signed liability release must be submitted with the relay entry.

 

Awards: Heat winner prizes. SPMS ribbons for individual places one to three, and SPMS ribbons for relay first place.

 

Swim Meet Entertainment: There will be a DJ on the pool deck for the perfect Las Vegas swim meet ambience. Other entertainment on the pool deck may include Elvis on stilts, a Vegas Showgirl and some other surprises. ALL SWIMMERS and ALL TIMERS are encouraged to wear COSTUMES, even if this means a "swim costume" (i.e. wild sparkly swimsuit with silly swim cap).

 

Results: Will be posted throughout the meet on SwimPhone.com.

 

Food & Beverage: Las Vegas Masters will provide free water bottles and small snacks (ie granola bars). Other items are available from vending machines on site.
